Success Story
Pepper

Hi my name was '"Kiteck" but it is now Pepper.  I was adopted two years ago through Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue to a woman who lost her husband of 40 years. She was looking for a new companion and she certainly found one.  Her daughter, who does Rottweiler Rescue, found the Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue site and decided to put in an application for a dog in hopes of finding the perfect match for her mother.

As fate would  have it, I showed up two days later and Jude, the Massachusette's representative,  thought I would be the PERFECT match even though I was six years old. So here I am today, two years later with my PERFECT match.

As you can see in my pictures, I am here with my new "Mommy" who loves me so much and takes wonderful care of me. I watch out for her too!  I have my moments though. I found a plant in the living room and dug in it. I had dirt all over my nose, but my "Mommy" just laughed it off and used the vacuum to clean it up while she was laughing at what I did.  Hey, no one is perfect you know.

Here I am on my "own" blanket for the couch.  This is "My" space but I am willing to share when someone comes to see me.  All of my "Mom's" friends love me to no end.  One even tried to take me home with them!!!!!!!  My Mom said NO WAY, I am her BABY!!!!!!!!!  I have lots of kids too.  My mom has 9 grandchildren who are used to dogs, so they respect me and I LOVE THEM.  The more they play with me the better!!!!

My Mom's grandson, Johnny, is the one who brought me to my new mommy.  He held me the whole way from Jude's to my new mom.  For this, I love him very much and he loves me big time.

Thank you to the Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue for helping me get my FOREVER home that will LOVE me for the rest of my days, and thank you to Jude for making this happen for me & my mommy who lost her husband very unexpectedly.  She was heartbroken until she met me!!!!!  Now she has someone to take care of and LOVE.

Love you Jude!!!!
