Sofia

Dear Friends,

I want to thank Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue, and a special hug and thank you to Carol..ie. Drifter's Place for choosing JUST THE PERFECT home for Sofia. OUR HOUSE! !! :)

Sofia is the black and tan doxie on the ottoman, and as you can see, she and our little. (Well, maybe not so little... but we're working on his weight issue!) .........Bogey. :) After losing our Bichon of 16 years old about 6 months ago, we decided it was time for a friend for Bogey.

There's more than enough "puppy love" in this home............. Our main concern was finding the "right" one for us. Bogey had been the only child for a while and was getting used to ALL of the attention. But without a buddy, he was also getting a little lazy and started to act older than he should. . Another VERY good tip for all you out there in the "thinking" stage. Bogey was 8 on Oct. 26th. 

Carol's "trained eye" saw that we indeed fit the bill for Sofia. She is 4 and the most loving doxie I’ve ever known. The most loving dog in the whole world actually!!! Though. don’t we all think that of our pets? ;) And Bogey is getting back to the "playful" stage, helping with his weight issue. 
Her profile included being a little submissive. Which she was when she got here...poor little girl ...just hoping to find her "family for life". 

Well, she FOUND it...and it didn't take us long to prove our love to her. And make her feel like she IS indeed part of the family! The way she "sinks" into the couch. Curls up between us in bed. Right now she's under the desk with her head on my foot, and Bogey boy is lying on the couch next to me. I've now got "two VELCRO dogs" and loving every minute of it. One last issue...as far as the profiles go on the pets goes...I'd say they are a very HONEST with the disposition of the dogs. After all, our "foster moms" want to find JUST the right home for each doxie. Therefore... another.................
