Success Story

"Lou Lou"

Lou Lou is another of the Alabama Puppy Mill girls.  She suffered from the same fear and anxiety issues when she got to her foster home that we unfortunately see in most puppy mill rescues.  Below is a letter from Lou Lou now that she is in her forever home, written to her original foster home.

Hi Tina,

I really love my new home. My "Permanent Mom & Dad" Think that I am just the cutest... I really like my brothers and sister too. They are so good to me and have made me feel like a life long family member.

I get to sleep on the water bed with my family and that is so nice. I noticed right a way that Brothers Buster and Snicker were Mommies dogs. So to wangle my way into this new home I instantly let my Daddy think that I am a Daddy's dog. Guess what? He fell for it and here I am. I still act like I would rather be with him than my Mommie so he will not change his mind. He is nice to snuggle up to at night though. You know sort of pudgy and warm. Almost like a heated pillow

Don't you like the picture of me? I know that my eyes show up blue but the thing that is most important is that you notice that they are not sad eyes anymore. I really want to thank you for bringing me to my forever home and to these people. Notice too that my ears perk up now too. Well, you never know when someone will say come get a treat. I have learned to come when Dad calls too. He tricked me into learning that by giving me a treat every time I came to him when he called. I don't hide anymore either but when strangers come to "my house" I do go to the bedroom and to the security of the waterbed.

When you get a chance to come out this way, you need to come see me. I am just a "doll".  J

Odie says that he really likes it here too and that he hopes that no one tries to adopt him. He knows what a deal he has here.  Ha!  Ha!

Can you believe it? When our Mommie and Daddy have a meal we get some of it too. I found out what filet mignon taste like. Ummm  Gooooood!!! I also found out that Ice Cream is cold and gives you a white mustache.

Well I better go to bed. I don't want to miss a chance to make my Daddy happy.
Bye Bye

Lou Lou
