Success Story
"JJ"

When JJ came to CCDR he had already been tossed around to three different homes and he was only 10 months old.  His previous owners gave him up because he didn’t have the same personality as their previous dog, a Corgi.  He had also snapped at one of their children, although it is thought that he was probably provoked.

While in foster care, JJ did not show any type of aggressive behavior but he was definitely afraid of children and new people.  He would growl when approached, but once he was re-assured, he was fine.  He was definitely ALL puppy!  Always running around and chasing his foster brothers and sister around the house.

JJ was placed in a home and returned within a week because the couple was not comfortable with his growling at new people, even though he never snapped.  He was such a beautiful little boy it was hard to believe somebody wouldn’t want him.

JJ is finally in a new home where he is very spoiled by his two hooman parents!  He goes for lots of walks and gets to sleep in the big bed.  He also has two sister furkids to play with.  His new parents say he fits in so well with the family it is like he has always belonged there.
