Why
we still list buddies that have been adopted.
When we have special needs dogs
that stay in long term foster care, there is no question that these dogs
are loved as much as any other dog. Many times the foster home will
adopt the dog and sometimes they can't. When we highlight the dogs
that require a little extra care we want to show the public how wonderful
they are even with their disabilites and the extra care that they might
require. Very often someone will see this dog, read their story and
become passionate about that particular animal and decide that they would
like to have that dog in their life. Special needs dogs very often
are some of the most loyal and appreciative dogs and those that have adopted
special needs dogs before know this, and very often wish to have another.
CCDR is so pleased when someone
adopts the special needs dogs that they wish to share this experience with
the public. It also encourages others to look into their hearts and
consider adopting a "less than perfect dog." Many of us in CCDR already
have one, two and sometimes three special needs dogs since they are the
lost souls who others overlook. We look at them first because we
know these dogs grasp life and look at what they have rather than what
they don't have.
We wish to share some of
these great dogs with you, the public, and keep you updated on their new
lives. --CCDR |
