Sebastian

Sadly, Sebastian passed to rainbow bridge in May 2006. He will be missed by his foster mom and those who were privledged to meet him. Rest in peace dear Sebastian

At 14, the days have gotten quieter and slower for this beautiful dog. In his day, this beautiful red standard longhair dachshund, Sebastian was a very regal boy.  But, due to age he is mostly deaf and blind now and leads a very quiet life.  He is so sweet that it just breaks your heart to see him get older.  He adores being petted and paws to be picked up.

How Sebastian became lost, we are not sure, but he was found wandering the streets earlier this year and was picked up by animal control.  He had massive tumors removed and was doing well until recently.  He's cut back on his eating and has begun to lose some weight.  Another vet visit showed there were some masses on his abdomen and nose this time.

Because Sebastian is an older dog with medical issues, and most people prefer to adopt young dogs, Sebastian joins the growing group of seniors who stay in foster care for the remaining years of their life. Like all of the older dogs,  Sebastian  will need continued veterinary support to keep him comfortable in his old age.  CCDR is hoping that someone out there will see this beautiful boy and want to become his buddy.  This means sending any amount to aid in vet bills that have accumulated, or just writing to send happy thoughts his way.  We'll continue to update Sebastian's condition and post pictures of this beautiful dog.

CCDR thanks you, but mostly, Sebastian and all of the other buddies thank you too!
