 It
is with great sadness we had to bid farewell to Fritz. He was very much
loved by his foster mom and even though no one requested to offer Fritz
a "forever home" he truly had one with the the family who fostered him.
Be free and be well dear man, for you were very loved for the time you
were with your foster family.
-----Fritz is a 13 year old smooth mini dachshund. He was relinquished
into the custody of Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue after his owner died
in May of 2001. Fritz came to us scared and confused. He is a bit of a
"grumpy old man", who is set in his ways. Frit spends the majority of his
day sleeping in his doggy bed. Every now and again, he'll get some energy
and run out the door with the other dogs to catch a quick barking frenzy
before heading back to his bed. Fritz has a level 4 heart murmur, which
doesn't affect his health too much at this point, but must be monitored
closely, and watched for additional symptoms. Fritz is being fostered by
Shelly in Port St. Lucie, FL and will most likely live out the rest of
his life there, because of his age and heart condition.
Fritz could use a buddy even though he doesn't have as serious a problem
as some of the other dogs. Seniors who have heart issues very often need
medication and special food which our foster parents absorb the cost of.
Won't you be a buddy to Fritz?
